I'll be honest, Nick's is not the place that I go for most of my groceries, their prices are a bit high and their selection is not great. However, it is absolutely the place that I go for a few essential items. Any time I want to have high quality products from a butcher shop, I make the drive and wait in line for what I know will be a top quality cut of meat. I also keep their self branded steak rubs and seasonings in my cupboard at all times. They also have a great deli counter if you are planning a picnic or just need a snack before your delicious steak.
I think something cool they could do is suggest pairings with the wine selection they have with the meats they have - or suggested recipes, just a thought. Love this place regardless!
I usually shop at giant for my grocery selection - except nicks zucchini’s are usually amazing and they have a better selection their grocery prices are usually a bit too high for my budget.
Always happy when I shop at Nick's. Have been shopping at Nick's when it was only one store located in Fleishmans Village in, I believe it was Hillcrest Heights in Prince George's County just off of Branch Avenue.
BUT their meat there is amazing! I make the trip every weekend to get my meat for dinners and lunches for the week. I can definitely tell the difference even in the ground beef versus grocery store ground beef when I cook. The staff is always so friendly and helpful when I have questions or ask for suggestions, they are all so knowledgeable which I love. And of course I love their selection of liquor and wine and beer! I live the tastings despite I end up spending more than I planned because I love what I tasted! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to step up their meat game when cooking! The prices of the meat are great too especially when they’re having a sale.
Whether it's buying items from the deli, the butcher shop, or anything else in the store we've NEVER been disappointed. Customer service is second to none. The store is always immaculate and the staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful. We are here numerous times a week.
