I get a bill and call to dispute it since it was already paid and their crappy call center is closed at 5 pm (open until 11 pm, according to the bill). They try to intimidate me with a lawyer call back.
Turns out, they never ran my insurance, despite giving the information at least seven times. The excuse being that their "system changed".
The only way I would send someone here is if I wanted them to die from malpractice, neglect, or contamination.
$5000+ for 12 hours of waiting and 90 seconds of treatment.
One of the worst hospitals in Maryland. Don't expect staff there to treat you with respect. I have never felt extremely discriminated and disrespected.
Go to a real hospital. These people aren't real physicians. They're the rejects.
Terrible experience. Again. Starting from the ambulance ride who simply thought my son had a bruise and that he was fine to go to the hospital in my wife's car. He had a broken collar bone... 6 hours later and only Tylenol 3 for pain meds. One of the nurse's indicated he had to be admitted for strong pain meds. Yet Children's in DC gave us Oxycodone when we walked in the door... and let it set in before taking their own x-rays. The only redeeming quality was that some of the nurses were very sweet and radiology with the portable x-ray machine was outstanding. (though they had to take pictures twice)
I asked for treatment and a "doctor" decided to be sarcastic instead. The nurses talked curtly about me in my presence.
Once I got a room, it was extraordinarily filthy. Keebler Cracker wrappers, pudding tops, Jello tops, about 12 pounds of lint... and more waiting.
This place doesn't even deserve a quarter of a star. My husband went there with an injury and no one showed any interest in taking care of him. He waited in a room for five hours and no one effectively communicated what was going on or the fact he needed to be treated. The "doctors" simple removed the foreign object and sent him on his way with no antibiotics or pain killers. The next day I took him to another hospital and he ended up needing extensive surgery to remove the infection and all parts of the object will in his body. This place is a scam. I have called three times to complain and no one has called me back. This isn't even a hospital. If you want to experience rude employees and not be preoprly taken care of then head on down to Calvert memorial hospital! You're sure to not be treated properly.
Expect untalented, rude, rural doctors and even more so from the nurses. Nobody goes here if they have another choice.
For a small county hospital, it does fine. Staff is courteous, professional, and knows their limitations.
