Had lunch with a couple of coworkers today..our waitress was exceptional, kn owledgable about the menu and verrrrrrrry pleasant serving us with a smile
We had a waitress named Shelby who was awsome! My boyfriends food was cold but she took care of it very professionally and even got a free dessert so all wasnt lost...all in all decent meal and good service!
Server Anna got the order "mixed up" with another, and when the food came, 2 out of 3 order was wrong. This was after almost an hour of waiting. Manager did try to smooth things over, covered the bill.
Got seated right away. After 20 min and no one even taking our drink orders, we got frustrated and left. Pretty bad service.
Ok, first thing I want to point out that this is Applebee’s and not some 5 star dining place that people are looking to find in good ole Calvert County. I use to work at this Applebee’s specifically, and while I was working there the kitchen staff was entirely made up of inmates on work release from the local prison. Now, that was nearly 15 years ago, but that is beside the point. Applebee’s makes the food you could have made if you stuck your frozen dinner entrée in the microwave. However, I do like the place, and attend the restaurant during off peak hours after 9 p.m. to get the half off appetizers special. During that time I have never really had a problem with service or food, and occasionally will converse with my significant other while I enjoy a large brew. The place does seem a little small and rundown, but the restaurant does everything that it is supposed to, and that’s what I should expect from Applebee’s. I know when I enter those doors that I am entering at my own risk. You truly never know what might happen in Applebee’s. The restaurant makes good bar food and I do not see the need to give this place anything lower than 4 stars.
